The offseason rehab for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes wasn't the only standout news for the three-time Super Bowl MVP. According to an article from Forbes reporter Brett Knight, Mahomes is the NFL's Highest-Paid Player for the 2026 season.
Mahomes leads the NFL for the second straight year, with $56.8 million on the field and an estimated $30 million from endorsements and other business ventures.
"Mahomes' portfolio of partners—unmatched in the NFL—features Adidas, which is launching a golf line around Mahomes," wrote Knight, "State Farm, which is putting him at the center of a new ad campaign; and Hublot, which supplied the $362,000 watch he wore to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's wedding. The soon-to-be-31-year-old superstar
also won a Sports Emmy in May as a producer of Netflix documentary series Quarterback."
The Chiefs added two years to Mahomes' contract, extending through the 2033 season at a value of $504.75 million. The deal makes him the first NFL player valued at over half a billion dollars. Football's ten top earners—all quarterbacks—are collectively hauling in nearly $600 million.
Buffalo Bills' Josh Allen ranks No. 2 at $73 million, followed by Detroit Lions' Jared Goff ($60M), Philadelphia Eagles' Jalen Hurts($56.5M), and Atlanta Falcons' Tua Tagovailoa ($56M).
