On the 'Chiefs Wire Podcast Interview Series', we showcase new players, celebrities, and prominent NFL players with unique takes and stories about the Kansas City Chiefs.
Watch as Senior Writer Ed Easton Jr. speaks with Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh. The former New York Jets head coach discussed the decision to hire former Chiefs offensive coordinator Brian Daboll to his coaching staff during the offseason.
"He's (Brian Daboll) got experience. He's got a tremendous amount of knowledge about his scheme and a tremendous amount of experience in how to coach it, how to coach all the snakes in the grass," said Saleh. "He's got a great rapport with quarterbacks, understands them, and can communicate with them. I just felt with Cam Ward and Daboll,
a perfect match with regards to personality, and felt Daboll would be perfect at extracting the most out of them."
Daboll served as the Chiefs' coordinator in 2012 and, after four seasons as the head coach of the New York Giants, was fired after 10 games in 2025. Daboll's Giants lost to the Chiefs in Week 3 of last season.
