According to a report from NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, the Buffalo Bills are set to release former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman after the 2026 preseason.
Hardman entered the league as a second-round pick of the Chiefs in the 2019 NFL Draft and was a key member of Kansas City's Super Bowl LIV, LVII, and LVIII rosters.
After playing for the Chiefs between 2019 and 2022, Hardman joined the New York Jets for part of the 2023 season before returning to Kansas City. The former Georgia Bulldog spent his 2024 season with the Chiefs and inked two new contracts in 2025: first with the Green Bay Packers, then with the Bills.

Now set to become a free agent, Hardman
will almost certainly garner interest from Kansas City's front office, which has been keen to lean on ex-Chiefs when depth wears thin due to injuries in the regular season.
