This week, Chiefs Wire's Ed Easton Jr. spoke with Atlanta Falcons All-Pro running back Bijan Robinson.
In his interview with Easton Jr., Robinson discussed "My Greatest 7," a new campaign inspired by the stories behind football's most iconic number. In the new TV spots, Bijan reflects on the moments that shaped his career alongside friends and family before revealing it's actually about the $7 Big Deal Meal from SONIC. "It's definitely a blessing to see all the guys play at a very high level and to see where the game's going now. You have to have it. You have to have a running back. You have to have a running game," said Robinson. "But then you have to have a guy who can be a difference-maker because it doesn't matter what team you are, doesn't matter who you are as a team. The pass game has become so elite in pass coverage and pass rush; those guys are becoming specimens. You have to be able to run the football. You have to be able to get those dump-offs and stuff like that because, one, it opens up the whole offense. It opens up the pass game."
Robinson pointed out Walker's impact on the Chiefs and how his skill set fits the role the offense needs to succeed.
"The pass game opens up the run game, and that complementary football is very important. But then, you know, you have guys like Kenneth Walker; he changed the game for the (Chiefs) offense," said Robinson. "He was the focal point of that (Week 1) game, and that's just what it means. So, it's definitely cool to see the game go back to that, and I hope it continues to grow from here every single week and every single season."
