Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman George Karlaftis spoke with reporters on Wednesday. He praised his fellow defensive teammates' character in a passionate speech.
"I've been a part of some great teams that have won Super Bowls. I can speak for this team right now that it's a resilient team of guys who are hungry and that love football," said Karlaftis. "Those are three characteristics that can go a long way. We just got to remain humble and hungry, and I think we can take it as far as we want to."
In Week 4, the Chiefs pressured Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins on 40.4% of his dropbacks. Karlaftis led the way, recording a team-leading 11 pressures, according to Pro Football Focus, and, before Week 5, was the most in a single game
this season.
Karlaftis has recorded 15 total tackles (6 solo, 9 assisted), 1 interception, and 2 passes defended over 4 games this season.
