The Kansas City Chiefs have risen to dominance in the NFL with the help of star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who was widely considered one of the top passers in the league before a nasty knee injury prematurely ended his 2025 regular-season campaign.
While the former Texas Tech Red Raider's accomplishments are impressive, former Chiefs defensive back Jaylen Watson took to Twitter to share his thoughts on playing with Los Angeles Rams signal-caller Matthew Stafford, who earned praise that seemed to come at Mahomes' expense.
In reaction to a clip of himself getting burned in a training camp practice, Watson said, "I haven’t played a QB who throw that peel like 9," referring to Stafford's otherworldly arm:

Chiefs fans on Twitter took exception to Watson's opinion, pointing out that the veteran defender has Mahomes to thank for his two Super Bowl rings.
Watson will have two opportunities to play against Kansas City in 2026; first in a preseason exhibition at Arrowhead Stadium on August 15, then in a regular-season contest at SoFi Stadium on December 3.
