Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has seen his unit struggle in consecutive losses to the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos.
Injuries to defensive backs Mansoor Delane and L'Jarius Sneed have complicated Spagnuolo's efforts to help Kansas City win games, and rookie Jadon Canady is among the players who are uniquely positioned to grow into more substantial roles as the 2026 NFL regular season crosses its halfway point.
Hear what Spagnulo had to say about Canady during a press conference on November 5 in this video, which was shared on Twitter by the official account of KC Sports Network:
Steve Spagnuolo on whether DB Jadon Canady will receive a bigger role on defense moving forward: “I think so ... he's a little bit like

While Spagnuolo seems bullish on the former Oregon Ducks standout's ability to perform through the rest of his rookie season, fans should expect that Canady will have to continue impressing the Chiefs' coaching staff to earn playing time in Kansas City's Week 9 matchup against the New York Jets at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.
