Offensive lineman Kingsley Suamataia has a "good chance" of returning to the Kansas City Chiefs' starting lineup, according to head coach Andy Reid.
During a press conference on November 4 ahead of Kansas City's upcoming matchup against the New York Jets, Reid was asked about Suamataia's status after he unexpectedly decided to sit the former BYU Cougar during the Chiefs' Week 8 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
While Reid stopped short of guaranteeing that Suamataia would appear on Kansas City's starting front five against New York, the long-tenured skipper seemed to indicate that his non-punitive benching of the 2024 second-round pick would come to an end:

With Suamataia out of the starting lineup against Denver, the Chiefs relied on veteran backup Mike Caliendo to man the left guard spot on their starting offensive line — and achieved mixed results in the 28-24 loss that dropped Kansas City's 2026 NFL regular season record to 5-2.
