The Kansas City Chiefs reached injury settlements with quarterback Chris Oladokun, offensive lineman C.J. Hanson, and running back E.J. Smith on September 4.
As a result, Oladokun, Hanson, and Smith will be waived from Kansas City's injured reserve list.
In addition to the team's injury settlements, the Chiefs also signed tight end Thomas Odukoya to their practice squad via the NFL's International Player Pathway — a program designed to increase the number of players from outside the United States and Canada.
Veteran beat writer Matt Derrick of Chiefs Digest broke the news of Kansas City's latest moves in a post to his official Twitter account:
The Chiefs have reached injury settlements with Chris Oladokun, CJ Hanson and EJ Smith. They have been
waived from the injured reserve list. The team also signed TE Thomas Odukoya to the practice squad with an international player exemption.

While none of these moves will affect the Chiefs' game plan for their Week 1 matchup against the Denver Broncos on 'Monday Night Football,' Kansas City's signing of Odukoya could be important for the team later in the season if injuries affect its depth at the tight end position.
