Veteran wide receiver Tyquan Thornton sustained a serious injury during the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 4 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Thornton has put together a marvelous performance in the early-season AFC West showdown, reeling in five passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns.
Though his exact condition is unknown, Thornton seems to have sustained a lower-body injury that could limit his availability for Kansas City moving forward.
Chiefs Senior Team Reporter Matt McMullen broke the news of Thornton's injury in a post to his official Twitter account:
Tyquan Thornton is down on the field after that big play.

The cart is on the way out.
Given that Thornton was carted off the field, it seems likely that Kansas City's front office will need
to evaluate its depth at the wide receiver position during the Chiefs' upcoming bye week.
After taking a well-deserved break following today's game, Kansas City is set to face the Los Angeles Chargers in yet another high-stakes divisional contest on Sunday, October 18.
