According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, star wide receiver Garrett Wilson is in concussion protocol ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 9 matchup against the New York Jets.
Wilson is the Jets' top pass-catcher, and his absence would give Kansas City's up-and-coming secondary a huge advantage in the November 8 tilt at Arrowhead Stadium.
A former first-round pick, Wilson earned NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2022 and started his career with three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons before injuries derailed his 2025 campaigns with the Jets.
Take a look at Schefter's report on Wilson, which was posted to the insider's official Twitter account on November 4:

While it is still too soon to tell
if Wilson will suit up for New York's tilt with Kansas City this weekend, the rigorous and closely monitored nature of the NFL's concussion protocol may be the biggest advantage that the Chiefs' secondary has ahead of the midseason showdown.
