Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Kingsley Suamataia spoke with reporters after practice on Monday at Missouri Western State University. He praised his teammate Josh Simmons's development and reflected on his own since his rookie season.
"Josh (Simmons) has come a long way. He's out there grinding each and every day," said Suamataia. "It's to the point where we can just point out there, and he sees what I'm seeing, and I'm seeing what he's seeing." We are ready to roll."
Suamataia started all 17 games at left guard in 2025, serving as one of the few consistently available players throughout the season. He acknowledged his growth since his rookie season, noting a significant difference between then and now.
"I would say being on the field, trying
to be the most conditioned person out there, so I can be able to make the plays down the field. Especially when we get in those long 16-18 play drives," said Suamataia. "So, I would say that on the field. Then off the field, I don't know, same old Kingsley."
The former BYU standout finished with the most pass block snaps played at guard, according to Pro Football Focus. He will be looked upon as a stabilizing force on the starting offensive line for a Chiefs team hoping for efficiency and availability heading into next season.
