Kansas City Chiefs running back Emmett Johnson recently spoke with reporters. He discussed how he would use his Week 1 experience to prepare for the second battle against the Denver Broncos.
"Yeah, obviously just going back and watching the film from that game and then also some of the other games they've played afterward," said Johnson. "In the NFL, it's hard to beat every team but also beat them twice. So just going into the film room and then learning from our mistakes and things that we can get better at from last time and then going from there."
During his official NFL debut, Johnson finished with eight carries for 24 yards against the Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium. He is proud of his progress and continuing to build each week, learning under
veterans.
"I feel good, man. Like I said, when I came in during training camp, I was trying to learn as much as possible," said Johnson, "but now I feel like I'm in a good part. I've got a good support system around me, good guys like Kenneth (Walker) and other people I can learn a lot of things from, so I have a lot of people that are in my corner, but I also did my part on studying as much as I could to put myself in a good position to be successful."
Johnson enters Week 8 with 19 carries for 62 yards and 9 catches for 109 yards.
