Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid spoke with reporters on Wednesday. He addressed the unexpected signing of kicker Justin Tucker.
"Yeah, so he's done his suspension, you know, and took care of that business there," Reid said. "But I'll leave it at that for you."
The Baltimore Ravens cut Justin Tucker after the 2024 season. He accepted a 10-game suspension under the Personal Conduct Policy based on allegations of sexual misconduct at massage therapy sessions.
"I try to do homework on it and see exactly what has been, what's taken place since, and, but, you know, I mean, the kid, he served a suspension," said Reid. "It's been time. There's been time involved with it, so that's how I evaluate him."
Tucker didn't play last season but has plenty
of experience: 13 NFL seasons, primarily with the Ravens, and an 89.1% career field-goal percentage in 212 games. He is on the practice squad while Harrison Butker remains the starter on the active roster for this Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.
