The Kansas City Chiefs activated linebacker Cooper McDonald and wide receiver Justin Watson ahead of their Week 7 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on 'Sunday Night Football.'
McDonald is set to join the Chiefs' active roster after a stint on the team's injured reserve list. Watson's activation comes just days after he signed a contract with Kansas City's practice squad.
Both players should be expected to take the field to face the Seahawks in some capacity, though neither is likely to be part of the Chiefs' starting lineup.
Kansas City's decision to activate McDonald and Watson was announced in a post to the Chiefs' official Twitter account:

Cooper McDonald from Reserve/Injured. We have activated Practice Squad player WR Justin Watson via Standard Elevation. We have placed RB Brashard Smith on Reserve/Injured. pic.twitter.com/fZX4YNjghi

A former TCU Horned Frog, McDonald is in his second season with Kansas City and originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent.
Watson was a member of the Chiefs' Super Bowl LV, LVII, and LVIII rosters and has shown remarkable chemistry with star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
