During a segment on 'The Athletic Football Show' this week, NFL insiders Robert Mays and Charles Robinson indicated that the Kansas City Chiefs may be interested in Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs ahead of the 2026 NFL trade deadline.
Kansas City has a major need for another wideout after injuries decimated the Chiefs' depth at the position early in the regular season, and Downs is rumored to be available amid Indianapolis' latest fire sale.
Hear what Mays and Robinson had to say about Kansas City's interest in Downs in this clip, which was posted to Twitter by the official account of 'The Athletic Football Show' on November 5:

While no reports have surfaced about the Chiefs' pursuit of a star wide receiver yet, fans and pundits will keep a close eye on Kansas City's front office for the next few days to see if Brett Veach will secure another pass-catcher for star quarterback Patrick Mahomes to utilize this season.
