In the Arizona Cardinals' 30-16 Week 7 loss to the Denver Broncos, tight end Trey McBride caught 10 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown. McBride surpassed Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in an all-time statistical category for tight ends.
With at least four receptions against Denver, McBride, who has appeared in 73 career games, surpassed Kelce's 78 games as the second-fastest tight end in NFL history to reach 400 career receptions, trailing only Pro Football Hall of Famer Kellen Winslow's 72 games.
The Cardinals All-Pro entered Week 7 ranked tied for first among tight ends with 396 receptions and third with 3,836 receiving yards since entering the NFL in 2022. McBride spoke with Chiefs Wire senior writer Ed Easton Jr. about his appreciation
for Kelce's soon-to-be Pro Football Hall of Fame career.
McBride and the Cardinals will visit the Chiefs in Week 11 of the 2026 season on Sunday, November 22, at Arrowhead Stadium. The game could be the final matchup between McBride and Kelce as the top tight ends continue to lead their teams this season.
