The Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks are set to face off in an exciting Week 7 matchup at Lumen Field on 'Sunday Night Football' that could be a preview of Super Bowl LXI.
Though the Chiefs are among the NFL's last undefeated teams, Kansas City won't have an easy time dealing with the 3-3 Seahawks, who are looking to bounce back after an overtime loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 6.
This week, Chiefs Wire sat down with Kole Musgrove of Seahawks Wire to get the inside scoop on Seattle before today's game.
Take a look at Musgrove's answers to our top questions below:
How has Seattle improved or regressed since its Super Bowl LX victory?
"Chiefs fans are probably intimately familiar at this point with how Seattle has regressed since Super Bowl LX because our regression is your improvement! The Seahawks cannot
run the ball right now with any level of consistency, let alone dominance. Granted, some problems have been injury related. Zach Charbonnet has yet to make his 2026 debut and rookie Jadarian Price is on IR. But the depth is not there, and it's making Seattle’s offense one dimensional, putting far too much pressure on Sam Darnold both metaphorically and quite literally."
Who has stepped up to fill the void left by Kenneth Walker III’s departure?
"Piggybacking on the last question… no one! Seattle has three rushing touchdowns from their running backs through six games. Emanuel Wilson is doing his best to hold down the fort, but he was always a 2 or 3 at best. He's fine, but he's not a legit starter."
Which Seahawks rookie has been Seattle’s most notable standout?
"I would say Beau Stephens, who has filled in at right guard with Anthony Bradford out. The Seahawks are a veteran heavy team at this point, and for Stephens to come in and play in relief of Bradford has been a huge asset. However, it's good to get him back in there."
Final score prediction: Who wins on ‘Sunday Night Football’ and why?
"I know the Seahawks are favored by Vegas, but I'm sure the general consensus across America is picking KC. However I'm going to zag while everyone is zigging. I'm trusting the Seahawks to figure their issues out on the long rest from last Thursday night. They're beating themselves against good teams by turning the ball over too much. And even with these turnovers, they’re keeping it to 2-3-point losses! With Rashee Rice out the Chiefs will have to lean on Kenneth Walker to carry them against a defense that hasn't allowed a 100+ yard rusher in 35 games. I'm not a fool, I'm not counting out Patrick Mahomes under any circumstance. I'm just placing my faith in Seattle to right their own ship. Final score: Seahawks 23, Chiefs 17"
