The Kansas City Chiefs' running back Kenneth Walker III has had a debut that's been nothing short of successful. He is capping off a special September with an NFL honor that places him among the best in league history.
Walker was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September, his first such honor. He became the third Chiefs running back to win the award in 20 seasons, joining Kareem Hunt in September 2017 and Jerrick McKinnon in December 2022.
A K9 kind of month.

Walker totaled 442 scrimmage yards (360 rushing, 82 receiving) and four touchdowns (two rushing, two receiving) in September, becoming the first player in NFL
history to score a rushing and a receiving touchdown in two of his first three games with a team. He also became the fifth player ever with at least 175 scrimmage yards in each of his first two games of a season.
Buffalo Bills linebacker Greg Rousseau and Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson were named AFC Players of the Month for September for defense and special teams.
