With a two-sack performance against the New York Jets in Week 9, star defensive lineman Chris Jones passed legendary pass-rusher Tamba Hali on the Kansas City Chiefs' all-time franchise sacks leaderboard.
Jones now has 90.5 career sacks, all of which have been recorded during his 11-year tenure with the Chiefs, who selected the former Mississippi State Bulldog in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Usually a consistent contributor to Kansas City's defensive efforts, Jones got off to a slow start in the Chiefs' 2026 regular-season campaign, but seems to have turned the tide with his outstanding effort against New York.

Now that Jones has passed
Hali for second place on the Chiefs' all-time sacks leaderboard, the seven-time Pro Bowler can set his sights on matching the mark set by beloved pass-rusher Derrick Thomas, who set the franchise record in the category with 126.5 sacks during his 11-year tenure in Kansas City.
