Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III spoke with reporters on Friday. He discussed his preparation for his highly anticipated return to Seattle this Sunday against his former team.
"It was mainly me and (Eric) EB (Bieniemy) talking about how he went to a former team and how he felt about stuff and giving me pointers on stuff like that," said Walker. "But you can't make it bigger than what it is. I'm not the only one on this team; everybody's going out there and playing a game. I don't feel like it should be just about me, if that makes sense."
Last season with the Seahawks, Walker rushed for 1,027 yards and five touchdowns. He also made an impact in the passing game, catching 31 passes for 282 yards. He earned Super Bowl LX MVP honors
with 27 carries for a season-high 135 yards and 26 receiving yards. He shifted the focus from his return this Sunday to the team's success over five games.
"Everybody doing their job. It takes all 11," said Walker. "So, if it's not for those guys up front, I wouldn't be able to have the success that I have. So, it takes all of us."
Walker is the first player since Chiefs running back Priest Holmes in 2002 to record 750+ scrimmage yards and eight touchdowns through the first five games of a season.
