During the recent episode of New Heights, the Kelce brothers discussed the start of the 2026 season. On their 200th podcast episode, Jason opened up about the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes' return from knee surgery.

"He will be out there," said Jason Kelce. "We are going to see the best quarterback in the NFL play. What version are we going to see?" Like, that's been one of the really explosive areas of his game."

Mahomes suffered a torn ACL and LCL late in the Chiefs' Week 15 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers last season. Dr. Dan Cooper, the Dallas Cowboys' team physician, performed the surgery. He repaired Mahomes' left knee last December, a day after the injury.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid announced plans to start Mahomes earlier in the week after sitting out the preseason. Mahomes finished last season with 22 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions in 14 games before suffering his knee injury. He also rushed for 422 yards and five touchdowns.
