The Kansas City Chiefs will host the New York Jets in Week 9, hoping to stop a two-game losing streak and keep pace in the AFC West. The league released this week's announcer assignments, with the game set for the A-Team broadcast and high-profile treatment on Sunday.
The CBS Sports broadcast team of Jim Nantz, JJ Watt, and Tracy Wolfson will call the Chiefs vs. Jets game on Sunday at 12:00 pm CT. CBS has assigned its No. 1 broadcast team to a Chiefs game for a second consecutive week.
During an offseason interview, CBS lead play-by-play broadcaster Nantz said he was disappointed that the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills annual rivalry game was scheduled for Thanksgiving night on a different network. This Sunday's game is the third time the network's
top announcer team is covering a Chiefs game this season.
The Chiefs are looking to get back to their winning ways after two disappointing road performances over the past two weeks. The Week 6 victory at Arrowhead Stadium over the Los Angeles Chargers was the last win for a Kansas City squad hoping to remain in contention for the AFC West division lead.
