"Just two weeks into the season, it’s evident that this won’t be a quick process. Miami tried to speed up the rebuild during the offseason by moving on from some older, higher-priced players, and while it might help get them back in contention in a few seasons, they’re
left with a young, in-experienced roster that has one of the toughest schedules of any team in the league. It’s going to be a long year."
Are the Dolphins officially in tank mode?
"The players and coaches are obviously giving it they’re all trying to win games and earn their next contracts, but with the way that the roster is built, they can only do so much. This will probably lead to Miami landing one of the top two picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. The question from there becomes, will they stay or will they trade down to acquire more picks."
Who is the Dolphins' most underrated player in 2026?
"It’s probably wide receiver Malik Washington. The former Northwestern and Virginia wideout came to Miami as a sixth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft after leading the NCAA in receptions and earning All-ACC honors in 2023. Behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle the last two years, he was primarily a returner, who caught 72 passes for 540 yards and three touchdowns. He built up a rapport with new quarterback Malik Willis this year and is probably their top receiver."
