The Kansas City Chiefs advanced their record to 1-0 after a 31-10 win over the Denver Broncos on 'Monday Night Football' in Week 1 of the 2026 NFL regular season.
Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker III made an excellent first impression on Kansas City's fans and coaches with a sterling debut at Arrowhead Stadium that saw the former Seattle Seahawks star rush for 173 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. Walker also caught three passes from Patrick Mahomes for 18 yards and one touchdown.
Mahomes completed 15 of his 27 pass attempts for 184 yards and two touchdowns that helped negate the lone interception he threw in the Week 1 win. Additionally, Mahomes rushed for 23 yards and one touchdown in seven carries.

Defensively, the Chiefs were led by cornerbacks L'Jarius Sneed and Mansoor Delane, who recorded eight combined tackles and one interception, respectively. Defenders Felix Anudike-Uzomah, R Mason Thomas, and Nohl Williams all recorded sacks in the game, and superstar pass-rusher Chris Jones recovered a fumble.
With a win over the Broncos under its belt, Kansas City will look ahead to its Week 2 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, September 20.
