Rookie offensive lineman Kahlil Benson may get his first NFL start during the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 1 matchup against the Denver Broncos on 'Monday Night Football.'
Benson — who joined the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent earlier this year after an impressive collegiate career with the Colorado Buffaloes and Indiana Hoosiers — was among Kansas City's top standouts in August and is expected to be a capable backup for injured left tackle Josh Simmons.
NFL analyst Brian Baldinger sounded off on Benson's potential during an appearance on 'The Pat McAfee Show' this week, highlighting the exceptional results that the first-year blocker achieved at Chiefs training camp and in the preseason:

Though there remains a degree of uncertainty surrounding the need for Benson to replace Simmons as Kansas City's starting left tackle in Week 1, Baldinger's breakdown of the former Hoosier's trajectory should give fans in Western Missouri some extra confidence heading into the Chiefs' rivalry showdown against the Broncos on September 14.
