The Kansas City Chiefs waived veteran offensive lineman Kellen Diesch on August 26, just days before their preseason finale against the Seattle Seahawks.

Diesch — who joined Kansas City as a free agent on August 20 after winning the United Football League championship with the Louisville Kings earlier this year — was expected to compete for a spot on the Chiefs' depth chart in Week 3 of the preseason, but will now have to search for a new job as teams around the league finalize their plans for 2026.

Kansas City's decision to waive Diesch was announced in a post to the Chiefs' official Twitter account:

Ultimately, Kansas City waived Diesch to make room

on its roster for offensive guard Joshua Ezeudu, who joined the Chiefs via a trade with the New York Giants on August 25.
