The NFL recently announced that the 2027 NFL Draft, presented by Bud Light, will take place from Thursday, April 29, to Saturday, May 1, 2027, in Washington, D.C. The Kansas City Chiefs will face crucial decisions before next year's event.
The 2027 NFL Draft will take place across locations throughout Washington, D.C., with the National Mall anchoring the Draft Theater in front of the Capitol and the NFL Draft Experience spanning Pennsylvania Avenue NW between 3rd and 7th Streets.
Kansas City currently holds 10 picks in the 2027 NFL Draft, including its own selections in Rounds 1-5, as well as multiple projected compensatory picks and selections acquired in previous deals. The additional third-round pick from the Los Angeles Rams is part of the blockbuster
Trent McDuffie trade at the start of the offseason.
"The NFL Draft continues to grow as one of our biggest and most accessible events, and we are excited to welcome fans and prospects to Washington, D.C., in 2027," said Peter O'Reilly, NFL executive vice president of club business, international and global events, in a statement. "Our nation's capital will provide an incredible, iconically American stage to host fans from around the world, as we celebrate the next generation of NFL stars."
The NFL Draft is one of the most popular and accessible events in sports, with last year's 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh setting an all-time attendance record, drawing over 805,000 fans over the three days.
