On the 'Chiefs Wire Podcast Interview Series', we showcase new players, celebrities, and prominent NFL players with unique takes and stories about the Kansas City Chiefs.
Watch as Senior Writer Ed Easton Jr. speaks with award-winning actor Wendell Pierce. Pierce, who stars in the Andscape film ‘They Fight,’ available on Hulu, discussed the movie and his illustrious career and recalled attending Super Bowl LIX, which featured the Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
"The kickoff happened, and boy, the Philadelphia Eagles spanked that.., but I had to give them to them, they played, they came ready, they said, "Oh, we want pay back, and they came ready," said Pierce, "I had to feel for my people, my friends were there from Kansas City, I was like, "Oh, I know
that pain, it felt that was only second to the pain I felt for the no call with Los Angeles Rams against the New Orleans Saints in the (2018) NFC Championship game, but I'm not going to go there."
