The Cleveland Browns bounced back in classic AFC North fashion on Sunday, clawing out a tough 13-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. In a hard-hitting war of attrition, Cleveland's defense held the line while key backup role players delivered when called upon, capped off by a walk-off kick to seal the divisional win.
Here is a look at who rose to the occasion in Week 6 and who continues to fall short.
Studs
S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
McNeil-Warren provided a textbook example of the next-man-up mentality today. The highly touted rookie safety had been waiting in the wings, turning in solid snaps as the defense’s third safety in rotation. But when veteran Grant Delpit was forced out early in the first quarter, McNeil-Warren stepped into the void without
missing a beat.
He flew around the field all afternoon, but his biggest statement came on his very first drive in relief of Delpit, when he diagnosed a run play and met Derrick Henry in the backfield for a tackle for loss.
LB Carson Schwesinger
Schwesinger continues to prove he is the toughest player on this roster.
Playing through a visible handicap from an ankle sprain suffered last week against the Jets, the reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year refused to sit out.

He racked up a team-leading 13 total tackles and forced a pivotal fourth-quarter fumble on Derrick Henry that directly set up Cleveland's game-tying touchdown. Schwesinger's heart and leadership set the tone for the entire unit.
K Andre Szmyt
Szmyt may have missed an earlier kick to end a streak, but when the game was on the line, he came through in the clutch. He stepped up as time expired and split the uprights on a 37-yard walk-off field goal to seal the 13-10 victory.

Szmyt is now a perfect 4-for-4 this season in situations where the Browns can tie or take the lead with under two minutes remaining in the game.
RB Jaleel McLaughlin
With Quinshon Judkins sidelined by an ankle injury, McLaughlin took over the starting nod and gave the offense the reliable juice it desperately needed.
Facing a stout Baltimore front, he provided efficient production, racking up 55 total yards on 13 touches (41 rushing, 14 receiving). McLaughlin kept the offense ahead of the chains on critical possessions and gave the backfield a dependable rhythm throughout the afternoon.
Duds
EDGE Jared Verse
Replacing a generational talent like Myles Garrett was never going to be an easy cross to bear, but Verse’s lack of production in his first season in Cleveland is becoming impossible to ignore.
Through six weeks, Verse still has zero sacks on the year and very little else to show on the stat sheet. While he holds his ground in run contain, the Browns were expecting an elite edge rusher who could close out games, and Verse continues to disappear in those crucial moments.
