The Browns won in Week 3 in a game that not many expected them to be in when the season started. In fact, even after two weeks, people questioned whether the Browns' offense could keep up with the pace of the Panthers' offense.
What ended up happening was that the Browns enjoyed their defense keeping the Panthers in check.
It was a team win by every definition of the word, and head coach Todd Monken recognized that. Post-game, the team shared his locker room speech that also included his game ball selections. He awarded game balls to Mike Rutenberg and the defensive coaching staff, cornerback Denzel Ward, quarterback Deshaun Watson, defensive end Derek Barnett, and safety Ronnie Hickman.

Monken said in his speech, “That’s what makes a great team, both sides having each other’s backs.” There is no better way to explain this Browns team in 2026.
