The 2027 NFL Draft will take place in Washington, D.C. next year. In that draft, the Browns still have their first-round pick, but a lot could happen in the next 8 months. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup about the team, and who they may add through the draft in a class many are calling one of generational wealth.

Sports Illustrated's Gilberto Manzano recently released the latest 2027 NFL mock draft of the cycle, which has the team going with a new quarterback in Notre Dame's CJ Carr. With their second pick, he is projecting them to land Clemson edge rusher Will Heldt.

Manzano explains the Heldt pick, writing, "Cleveland needs more pass rushers after sending Myles Garrett to Los Angeles. Yes, the Browns got

back Jared Verse in the trade, but he needs help on the opposite end. The 6'6", 260-pound Heldt has impressive strength and could develop into a consistent disrupter for opposing quarterbacks. He has 10 tackles and four sacks this season."

The Browns will be looking to give Jared Verse a tag team partner on the edges. They could do a lot worse than Heldt who can help with both rushing the passer and stopping the run.
