The Cleveland Browns have had plenty of time this offseason to reflect on what they need to do in 2026. With a new coaching staff and an overhauled roster, Week 1 will speak volumes about what they'll be like.
ESPN also did one last bit of reflection when they tasked the beat writers for their respective teams with answering a few final questions about their teams. One of the questions answered by Daniel Oyefusi was what would make the season a success in 2026, to which he explained it would be if the rookies rise to the occasion as they did in 2025.
He explained, "Cleveland's rookies pop again. Wins might be scarce, but another productive draft class could lay the foundation for a much-hyped QB draft class in 2027, when the Browns have two first-round
picks."
The team had breakouts from tight end Harold Fannin Jr., Quinshon Judkins, and, of course, Defensive Rookie of the Year Carson Schwesinger. If the team can have just three or four rookies rise to the occasion like they had in 2025, then the core of this team could be set for the foreseeable future.
