The Cleveland Browns are enjoying their 3-1 record through four weeks as they sit atop the AFC North. One key reason they are doing so well is Deshaun Watson's play. While he has not had a complete game yet, he is playing well enough for them to be where they are.
Everyone is looking at Deshaun Watson's play over the first four games, but especially Week 4. The primetime matchup showed he can be a QB1 in this league and someone the Browns could be invested in. As ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi discussed after the game, the clutch factor continues to be the star of his game.
Oyefusi wrote, "Watson started off strong before cooling off in the second half and turning it on late again. Watson's 181 passing yards were the most he has thrown for in the first
half of a game since joining the Browns, but his two turnovers after halftime helped Pittsburgh erase the deficit. Watson, though, was clutch for the third straight game, building on his early-season momentum."
The clutch factor is nice, it is something other teams would love to have. But eventually, that sort of play in the fourth quarter could always fall short. The Browns and Watson need to play a complete game sooner rather than later, or else this hot start will be for nothing.
