Quinshon Judkins has gotten off to a slow start in 2026, rushing for just 221 yards and one touchdown through five games. His 3.0 yards per carry ranks 41st in the NFL, suggesting an issue right now. His ankle injury suffered against the New York Jets during their 17-12 loss could make matters worse after he comes back.
Browns head coach Todd Monken gave us an update on Judkins and his ankle yesterday:
#Browns HC Todd Monken said Quinshon Judkins "had a little tweak" in his ankle from yesterday's game, which is why he left in a medical boot.
— Camryn Justice (@camijustice) October 12, 2026
Monken described Judkins as "day-to-day."
What he failed to mention is that this is the same ankle that he had surgically repaired following a dislocation and break in his tibia late last season. It's worth
monitoring how long his recovery takes, as his ankle has already gone through trauma in the past, so recovery may take a bit longer than normal.
With Dylan Sampson on IR, Cleveland will turn to Raheim "Rocket" Sanders to fill the hole left by Judkins in this running back room.
