Former Alabama head coach used to talk about "rat poison," where he would say the media would make teams feel relaxed or more confident than they should. Well, on Thursday, Browns defensive end Jared Verse provided some rat poison to the Steelers.
He didn't make them feel good; rather, he made them feel less than the Browns, which is something no one on that roster has felt.
While speaking to the media on Thursday, Oct. 29, Verse made some fiery comments about the Steelers and their players ahead of Week 8. He stated, “I’m not worried about Cam (Heyward), I’m not worried about their offensive line, I’m not worried about anyone on their team."

Verse giving the Steelers bulletin board material may make a lot of Browns fans wince. The game between these two the first time around came down to the final seconds; one had to imagine it is close once again. The winner will be the leader in the AFC North, so it doesn't come without stakes, but now it is time for Verse to help meet the moment.
This season, the new player included in the trade package the Los Angeles Rams gave the Browns for Myles Garrett has just 12 pressures on the year and no sacks to show for them.
