The Cleveland Browns are enjoying their 3-1 record through four weeks as they sit atop the AFC North. One of the key reasons they are doing as well as they are is because of the play of Deshaun Watson. While he has not had a complete game yet, he is playing well enough for them to be where they are at.
Everyone is taking notice of the Browns after their primetime matchup, including NFL Draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah. On the latest episode of his Move the Sticks podcast, Jeremiah sang the praises of Watson's game coming out of their Week 4 win over the Steelers.
He stated, "They're getting the ball out quick, so get the ball, get in the gun, get him removed from the line of scrimmage, give him some space, and he's able to get the ball out to the perimeter.
You get (Quinshon) Judkins involved in the passing game in this game a lot as well. . .Throwing the ball wise, he was as good as I've seen him drive the ball and throw the football. It was great to see. From Watson, and even more important to me, was the elusiveness he displayed, which we haven't seen in a long time."
Watson is going to have some extra eyes on him and the Browns going forward. Watson, as we said, has not played a complete game, and eventually that will catch up to him and the team. Until then, he just has to at least stay at the level he is playing, as they are winning close games at the moment, and that wasn't the case the last two years.
