The Cleveland Browns lost in Week 5 in a one-score game to the New York Jets. In a game like that, many things come down to one or two plays. In this instance, that is exactly what happened during one critical moment for the Browns.
Late in the fourth quarter, quarterback Deshaun Watson found wide receiver Isaiah Bond 30 yards down the field. However, Bond stepped out of bounds instead of turning upfield, and it has led to a lot of discussion around the play. On Monday, Browns head coach Todd Monken was asked about the play and shared his thoughts on it.
Monken stated, "I think there was an opportunity to possibly turn up. I can't speak for Isaiah, where he thought he was on the sideline. I don't know that. I think that comes up frequently within
a game for a player to make that decision to get vertical."

The weather has also been mentioned by folks who are defending Bond, suggesting it was tough to turn upfield in those conditions. The play may linger in fans' minds, but for Monken, Bond, and the rest of the team, the focus is now on Baltimore.
