The Cleveland Browns made one small move to their 90-man roster ahead of their first padded practice. The team announced the addition of defensive tackle Travis Bell, releasing undrafted rookie running back T.J. Harden to clear a roster spot.
This comes as the Browns enter a crucial part of training camp low on bodies along the interior of their defensive line. All of Maliek Collins, Mike Hall Jr., and Kalia Davis were sidelined on Monday, the first padded practice of the year. As the Browns prepare for their first preseason game next week against the Chicago Bears, they need defensive linemen who can eat up snaps for them.

Bell was most recently playing for the Louisville Kings in the United Football League. The nose tackle recorded 39 tackles,
six tackles for loss, and one sack this past season at the UFL level.
Prior to spending time in the UFL, Bell was a seventh round pick of the Chicago Bears in the 2023 NFL Draft. He spent most of that season on the practice squad in the Windy City before being signed to the active roster of the Atlanta Falcons, where he spent five weeks. He was then cut by the Falcons and was claimed by the Cincinnati Bengals, where he finished his rookie season.
He spent the 2024 season on the practice squad of both the Bears (again) and the Minnesota Vikings before being released in the offseason. Now, after his performance in the UFL, Bell gets another shot at his NFL dream with the Browns.
