The Cleveland Browns' defense took a hit over the weekend when they lost Alex Wright for the season due to a ruptured Achilles. On Monday, they got some good news to counteract the negative news they got just 24 hours ago.
The franchise announced that they were activating defensive lineman Maliek Collins off the physically unable to perform list. Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot
was the first to report the news.Collins suffered a serious quad injury in Week 13 last season against the San Francisco 49ers and missed significant time since then. Now, his return comes at a perfect time when the defense is looking for a shot in the arm in the trenches.
Collins is entering the second year of his two-year deal with the Browns valued at $20 million. Before
his injury last year, he had racked up 25 tackles, 6.5 sacks and a fumble recovery.
