The Cleveland Browns took to the field on Wednesday for their first training camp practice of 2026 while also hosting a familiar face. Veteran pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney was in Berea on Wednesday and could look to sign a deal with the Browns and add some pass rush depth on the roster after the team traded future Hall of Famer Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams.
Clowney was with the Dallas Cowboys last season and had a productive year with 8.5 sacks, something the Browns could use in the room with Jared Verse and Alex Wright. Clowney spent two seasons with the Browns in 2021 and 2022 and had one of his best seasons as a pro in 2021, when he recorded 9 sacks for Cleveland.
Head coach Todd Monken was in Baltimore the season that Clowney played
for the Ravens in 2023, when he tied his career high with 9.5 sacks, so he has seen him up close as well. Likely won't be a long-term big-money deal if Clowney signs in Cleveland, but it would be a solid move for the Browns to add depth to a young room.
