The 2027 NFL Draft will take place in Washington, D.C. next year. In that draft, the Browns still have their first-round pick, but a lot could happen in the next 8 months. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup about the team and who they may add through the draft in a class many are calling one of generational wealth.
CBS Sports' Ryan Wilson recently released the latest 2027 NFL mock draft of the cycle, which has the team going with a new quarterback in Texas' Arch Manning. With the Browns landing arguably the most talked-about quarterback prospect since Trevor Lawrence, there would be renewed hope among the fanbase.
He explains the Manning pick, writing, "Arch finished the 2025 season strong after a sluggish start.
He picked up where he left off in the '26 opener vs. Texas State. If we see more of that version of Manning, we'll spend much of the next seven months debating who is QB1."
Week 1 truly was an eye-opening game for Arch Manning, but it was Texas State. If he plays as he did against Ohio State in Week 2, then the rocket ship that is his NFL potential goes straight to the moon and then some.
