The Cleveland Browns are surprising a lot of folks with their 3-2 start to the season. Some aspects of their game are a bit sharper than others, such as their defense, but both could use a shot in the arm as they look to compete for a playoff spot much sooner than many expected.
That got us thinking after seeing a recent piece published by Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox. He discussed several trade candidates and their value at this point in the season. We went through the list and thought some of the players could make sense for the Browns.
One of them was center Landon Dickerson.
They suggested he could be acquired for a second-round pick and discussed the reason for a trade, stating, "Dickerson has been out since he tried to play through a knee
injury in Week 1 but landed on injured reserve. He's one of the league's top interior linemen when healthy, and the Eagles certainly won't part with him for proverbial pennies. However, if the buzz indicates that Dickerson could be available, guard-needy teams should be placing calls. The three-time Pro Bowler just turned 28 years old, and he's under contract through 2028."
While the price tag is steep, it would help solidify the most important position group for the Browns. Not to mention, the added year of control is a nice bonus.
