The 2027 NFL Draft will take place in Washington, D.C. next year. In that draft, the Browns still have their first-round pick, but a lot could happen in the next 8 months. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup about the team and who they may add through the draft in a class many are calling one of generational wealth.
Deadspin's Dean Bruce recently released the latest 2027 NFL mock draft of the cycle, which has the team going with a new quarterback in Oregon's Dante Moore. The Heisman Trophy contender could have declared for the 2026 NFL Draft but instead returned for one more year to the surprise of many.
He explains the Moore pick, writing, "The last first-round quarterback grade on my 2027 draft board (sorry Jets
fans), Moore made a surprising decision to stick around for another college season after an impressive season where he totaled over 30 touchdowns and 3,500 yards. His athletic prowess and elastic arm have earned him comparisons to Texans QB CJ Stroud."
The mentally sound and composed Moore would be a good fit for the Browns and a franchise with high expectations. He would be the perfect fit for the franchise and the city and it is a pick we will see a lot.
