The Cleveland Browns hit the road in Week 7 to face a Tennessee Titans team with a chip on their shoulder. The Titans came out ready to punch the Browns in the proverbial mouth, and they did so. The only problem was the Browns didn't hear a bell and came back with some counters of their own on their way to another win.
Defensively, this was easily the worst performance of the year, even including the Week 1 beatdown from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tony Pollard ran all over them, Cam Ward looked brilliant at times, and the receivers were able to make plays. But on the flip side, the Browns' offense played their best game of the season in terms of yards and tied their highest point total for the year.
Heading into Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers,
they have some momentum now and will need it.
The offense can win games
The Browns' offense was unlocked in Week 7 against the Tennessee Titans. Of course, the Titans' defense isn't among the best in the NFL, but the Browns got some chunk plays and established the run. Deshaun Watson put the ball in his playmakers' hands and let them create, an approach this team should keep moving forward. Worth noting they did it while also being down an offensive line starter in Tytus Howard.
KC Concepcion needs more touches
KC Concepcion had 10 targets and caught eight of them. The impressive part? He racked up 129 yards on those catches. He was a human pinball machine and was having defenders bounce off him when running after the catch. The spark he can bring to this offense was shown today, and I sincerely hope that head coach and playcaller Todd Monken does more to get him involved.
Denzel Ward isn't being talked about enough
Denzel Ward came into the game nursing a hand/finger injury. It flared up on Friday and made him questionable for the game, and not only was he active, but he was heavily involved in the outcome. He secured an interception and broke up several other passes that would've led to big plays for the Titans, and in a close game, that makes a world of difference. He has been playing like an All-Pro in 2026, and it is time the rest of the NFL world takes notice of it.
