There has been quite a bit of public uproar upon hearing the news that Deshaun Watson was named the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns for 2026. This week, the story reached a climax after Watson addressed the boos he has faced on the field and the criticism of his preseason performance. Those hoping Watson might be out the door soon may be disappointed.
ESPN's Adam Schefter, while appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, said he believes that Watson will remain with Cleveland through this season, and potentially next season as well, due to his cap hit.
