There has been a lot of discourse this week about the hit that New York Jets safety Minkah Fitzpatrick laid on Cleveland Browns rookie KC Concepcion, which resulted in a concussion that knocked him out of Sunday's game. There has been some debate on whether that hit was a dirty hit or not, but either way, it resulted in Concepcion being knocked out of the game and placed in concussion protocol.
Surprisingly, the rookie pass catcher returned to practice on Wednesday as he works his way through the concussion protocol. After how bad the injury looked, it seemed like he was going to miss practice this week as he recovered, so it is a good sign that he was able to participate on a limited basis, though this doesn't mean he will be cleared by Sunday.
The Browns offense looked disjointed after Concepcion went down, showing how big of a role he was going to have in the game plan this past week, so having him back would be huge for the offense. Isaiah Bond stepped in when Concepcion went down, and although he had some big grabs, he also had some massive drops that really hurt the offense.
