What was already an awful Week 1 for the Cleveland Browns just got worse.
Late Monday night, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler shared
that running back Dylan Sampson would miss "significant time" after suffering a knee injury in the team's Week 1 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He suffered it in the first quarter, came back out in the second to warm up on the sidelines, but ultimately returned to the locker room and was ruled out. This will take time, so extra pressure will fall on backup Raheim Sanders. Both he and Quinshon Judkins were the only active running backs on the roster on Sunday, perhaps that will change by the time Week 2 rolls around as they do have Jaleel McLaughlin on the practice squad.
Head coach and playcaller Todd Monken has hinted at
using KC Concepcion in unique ways out of the backfield. He had three rushes in Week 1, but we may see that number creep toward double digits as the team gets more creative and lets Concepcion work in space.
