The 2027 NFL Draft is going to be pivotal to the Cleveland Browns and their success beyond this season. After one week, some fans are already packing their bags and planning vacations, while others are keeping their eyes on the college football world for help.
In Week 1, the fans of the latter got some good news through the smoke of a demolition by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Browns, themselves, still have their original first-round pick, so a loss by as wide a margin as they had has them sitting with the first overall pick. The Browns also have the Los Angeles Rams pick from the Myles Garrett trade, and they also lost by a wide margin in Week 1.
As an added bonus, quarterback-needy teams such as the New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals won their
games, which has them with an expected extra win to their totals. All of this adds up to the Browns leaving Week 1 losers in the record books, but over the long haul they are sitting pretty.
