The Cleveland Browns are off to their first 3-1 start since 2021, but something about this team feels different than that team. This team has shown resilience, winning back-to-back games from behind. This has been thanks in large part to the late-game heroics of Deshaun Watson, whom head coach Todd Monken hyped ahead of their week four matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
While speaking to the media, Monken explained a conversation he had with Watson about how "cool" things are right now in Cleveland:
“Before the game...I said, isn’t this really cool? You’re going to be introduced last, isn’t that really freaking cool? It was only seven weeks earlier, and it’s, ‘Where are we going to go from here? The Bills game at home...So cool.”The fans were
rocking during Cleveland's 27-24 victory on Thursday, and the man coming out last has had a major impact on this franchise since returning from his Achilles injury. If the defense can sustain the pressure they put on, and the offense can limit the first-half blunders, this team could remain very competitive through the rest of the season.
